Find and Solve Common Network DNS Problem in Your PC
Sometimes there is an issue with your DNS resolvers caching the domain name to IP mapping. When you’re trying to go to the domain, it’s actually pulling up an old IP address instead of looking for a new one and finding the correct record. So, to expedite this very common problem of cached DNS, please do the following steps
Microsoft Windows XP (Close your application (e.g. browser or email) )
Go to the Start menu, choose Run, type cmd and hit OK. When the black screen appears, type the following command and hit enter.
ipconfig /flushdns
Restart your application (e.g. browser or email).
Microsoft Windows Vista and Windows 7 ( Close your application (e.g. browser or email). )
Click the Start orb and follow All Programs > Accessories, look for Command Prompt. Be sure to right click on Command Prompt and choose “Run as Administrator”. When the black screen appears, type the following command and hit enter.
ipconfig /flushdns
Restart your application (e.g. browser or email).
Mac OSX
Navigate to your Applications folder, open Utilities, and double click on Terminal. Type the following command and hit enter.
dscacheutil -flushcache
Then type this command and hit enter.
lookupd -flushcache
Don’t worry if either command says something like “Not found”.
Restart your application (e.g. browser or email).
Linux
Open up a root terminal window (ctrl T in gnome). Type the following command and hit enter.
/etc/init.d/nscd restart
Restart your application (e.g. browser or email).

Apple Launches New iMacs with Quad-Core CPUs, Thunderbolt

And all at once, the sound of an infinite number of ripped pants pockets could be heard around the world as Apple fans removed their wallets with total disregard for the square-shaped denim enclosures that had held them safely in place. Those poor brass rivets never even saw it coming.
Apple has just updated its all-in-one iMac line "with next generation quad-core processors, powerful new graphics, groundbreaking high-speed Thunderbolt I/O technology and a new FaceTime HD camera," according to a company press release.
Pricing starts at $1,200 for the 21.5-inch model and tops out at $2,000 for the 27-inch model (before adding any custom upgrades).
All four available baseline configurations—two 21.5 inchers, two 27 inchers—ship with Intel Core i5 quad-core processors, standard, and both the higher-end 21.5-inch model and the higher-end 27-inch model can be outfitted with Intel Core i7 quad-core processors if you so desire.
The 21.5-inch LED-backlit screen packs a 1920x1080 resolution while the 27-inch version boasts a 2560x1440 resolution. All models ship with four gigabytes of RAM, which can be upgraded to 16 gigabytes. The $1,200 model sports a 500-gigabyte hard drive, while the other three have one-terabyte hard drives that can be upgraded to two terabytes or outfitted with a 256-gigabyte solid state drive instead.
As for graphics, all models ship with AMD Radeon HD chips—the highest-end model comes with one-gigabyte of video memory and can be configured with a two-gigabyte chip instead. The others come with 512-megabyte chips.
And as we saw with the latest line of MacBook Pro notebooks, these new iMacs now feature Intel's new high-speed Thunderbolt connection ports for compatible external peripherals and displays. The 21.5-inch models feature a single Thunderbolt port, while the 27-inch models have two.

  • White iPhone Same Girth as Black iPhone, Says Fancy Tool

Consumer Reports has resorted to using some sort of futuristic measuring technology to determine that the white iPhone is not 0.2 millimeters thicker than the black iPhone, as had been previously reported.
Using "high-quality calipers" as shown in the above photo (have you ever seen such dark magic?!) Consumer Reports found that an iPhone 4 is apparently an iPhone 4, no matter which way you slice it—both models returned an identical 0.37-inch thickness reading.
And just to drive the point home, the outfit tested several protective cases to find that "all fit the white iPhone 4 as well as they did the black version."
So if you've held out 10 months to buy the white iPhone 4 and then you didn't buy it for fear it wouldn't fit the case you bought for your black iPhone 4 that you actually never bought because you were waiting for the white one, you sound very interesting. And you can go get the white version now.
